We are: Charlotte Pike

Charlotte Pike, made up of Lauren and Brent Gafford, is the newest husband/wife duo to hit the Nashville scene. Having traveled the country playing shows together for years, it only seemed right to re-brand into an official duo.

Brent and Lauren met in 2013 during their senior years of college at UGA and Auburn University, respectively. Brent had already been gigging as the front-man for his band, the Brent Gafford Band based in Athens. The two instantly hit it off and thus a romantic and a musical bond pursued. Lauren soon became a full-time member of the band, adding a new layer of harmony as the band settled into the Atlanta music scene. Fast-forward six years and 400+ live shows later, The band has landed opening slots for several of Nashville’s most notable up-and-comers Mitchell Tenpenny, Josh Thompson, Jon Langston, Trea Landon, Muscadine Bloodline, and Tyler Reeve.

Brent and Lauren have slowly worked towards transitioning into a duo over the last two years in Nashville. The two wed in April of 2018, so the transition to a duo has been a natural progression. With so much experience performing together, they have naturally meshed their harmonies to create their own brand of original country music – a sound that is undeniably commercial, yet doesn’t undermine the organic twang of the 90’s music that has served as an early influence. Brent and Lauren are now ready to make their mark as a duo, Charlotte Pike – a name that commemorates the place both literally (residing off Charlotte Pike in West Nashville) and figuratively - representing where they are now in their pursuit of good songs in Nashville, Tennessee.

Charlotte Pike is set to release their debut single, “Hurt Like This” on August 9th – with three additional singles to be released throughout the fall of 2019. The new duo has a slew of dates booked to help promote the release. They will be on the road with fellow Georgia-born acts Cody Parks & The Dirty South and Dawson Edwards as they hit Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta on Thursday, August 8th followed by the 40 Watt in Athens, Ga on the 9th to celebrate the debut single release of “Hurt Like This”. Other dates on the calendar include opening slots for Deana Carter August 24th in Bozeman, MT and Corey Smith on September 14th in McDonough, Georgia. Follow Charlotte Pike on their brand new social’s @Charlotte Pike Music to keep up with new announcements, press, and live performances.
